What exactly is co-working?
The concept of co-working simply means the use of an office or other working environment, by people who are self employed or working for different employers (freelancers, work from homers, people traveling while they work).
The spaces and amenities are shared by everyone involved, creating a community atmosphere to share ideas and knowledge.
At blend, the first co-working space in Seychelles, we strive to create a space where people from different sectors can work together under one roof, sharing inspiration and resources and being a part of our community which involves networking events and more.
Is co-working a better alternative than renting a traditional working space?
Many smaller businesses or freelancers cannot justify the costs of renting an entire traditional office space, so co-working spaces offer the option to rent a desk rather than a whole block of offices (although individual offices are often offered by some co-working spaces).
Therefore members get all the perks of a traditional office including internet, printing, a kitchenette and a lounge area, without all of the additional steep overheads.

Do I have to be a member to use the space at blend?
Blend is open to all to visit and take a tour of our space. However, the use of space and amenities is reserved for our members.
If you’re looking to try out the space for a day, we do have a daily pass renewable on a day to day basis.
As a member, what happens if I want to bring in a third party in for a meeting?
On your membership, you will have access to one free hour in the conference room, where you can have meetings for smaller groups.
After that, we invite you to book the conference room space as and when you need it for an additional fee.
Can I bring food into a co-working space?
At blend, you’re more than welcome to bring your lunch and snacks to the office. We have an equipped kitchenette for your use but it should also be noted that there are plenty of restaurants and takeaways only a 5-10 minute walk from the space.
What’s the future of co-working post covid-19?
After a time of isolation and having to work from home, many employers and employees have found themselves aching to get back to the community of the office. People’s mental health has taken a downward turn as isolation and lack of inspiration and motivation usually provided by being around others, was limited.
But the very aim of co-working spaces has always been to reignite the fire of community living and to encourage businesses and entrepreneurs to partake in the collective wisdom and energy of our spaces.
People have been dreaming about getting out of the house and back into an innovative and inspiring space, and that’s what we’ve created for you here at blend.
We are dedicated to ensuring the health and safety of all our members at all times and are taking measures to ensure that our spaces are up to standard.
